Class 5: Process Adoption
Transcript
Hello, friends. Welcome to a tradition unlike any other. This is the RevOps MBA with Brian Kreutz.
So that's an example of, some kind of more active adoption techniques.
Another example is what we call process rules. And so process rules, take kind of scenarios, positive, neutral, or negative, and kind of put them front and center to the specific person. So a lot of times in deals, you wanna standardize all the data collection around the around the same time, but it's easy to forget things. And so you can set up these process rules to automatically flag when something is, missed.
So the deal doesn't have any next steps. So if I go to the next step property, which probably isn't visible in my demo account, but it'd be visible if I real properties. The next step will be blank. The contact has an open deal, but no company associated with it.
So you wanna obviously associate a company to the deal. So I'll go ahead and I'm going to associate a company right here. And once I refresh, this is gonna go away.
So the idea here so we have two records. Now we have one. The idea here is that as you're working through these, you just get these little reminders error messages, and then you do the action, and then they go away. You can also do positive reinforcement if you want.
So if I move this to closed won, we should have a positive reinforcement here that says, hey. Fantastic job. You closed a deal. So it might not pop up right now, but that's an example of something that you could do.
And there it is. There's my, there's my celebration for moving the deal to close one. So positive and reminders here, red, green, there. So that's another example of kind of passive and active.
You got to be active to actually remove the errors by following the action. The third, one I have is that a lot of these tasks that I'll set up with certain instructions, there'll be reports that we can easily validate who has and has not done it. So in this one, I've built out the task, and I've built out a video explaining exactly how to complete the task. So they can go ahead and put this in the sidebar.
They can do here, and they can watch the video right here, and they can complete the task. When you complete the task correctly, your name appears on this So as a manager, you don't have to worry about if all eight sales reps, for example, have done this task. You just look at the the report, and if they're missing, they haven't done it correctly. So I like to do that for, some more active things like creating a deal properly and saying, hey.
Make sure your deal name contains this so that it pops up and it is reportable. So you can embed videos. You can embed GIFs. You can embed rich text, bulleted.
All that kind of stuff you can embed in there.
So all that good stuff is easy to go. And then the third thing I like to do sometimes for, like, general onboarding is looking at kind of a week to week basis. And so setting up the settings, you know, connect your email account. So what we can do as well is we can do these little tutorials. And so as you go through here, you can start the tutorial and go ahead and click settings yourself.
You know, click that button so you'll see exactly what you need to do, and you can just follow along. And then you can follow along on your screen while going through this. So this is another example of doing not just video text based, but walk through based. We can do all that stuff.
All of these right here. What is sales one zero one? What are company and contact records? I'm putting all this information right here so that it can be reviewed and be evergreen for new people that are being that you hire in the future for employee onboarding, for general HubSpot practice.
So, you can kinda put someone through, like, a three week training and just say, hey. Go through all of these things, complete these actions below, and you should be good to go. And then, at the bottom, you'll see that a lot of the actions that I prompt, like created contacts, deals open in the current stage, these are the instructions that you get from completing these. So, sorry for the link to this video, but, I'm really passionate about adoption.
And I think, Misty and, everyone just passed on adoption. We at RevPartners do active adoption using the tool Superd. It's not just one size fits all. We can have lightning bolt indicators for definitions.
We can have instructions. We can have videos. We can assign tasks. We can ensure that these tasks are getting complete with the proper action because we can report on it.
And so all of that kind of stuff is, is very valuable. And then the best part about this is that in the sidebar, this becomes your internal knowledge base. And so all of the different things that you, wanna go through, how to create and invite users, this becomes your knowledge base that you've got access to this and that everyone can kinda see exactly what they need to see for all of these things. So, thanks for watching, and that's how we handle, adoption at RevPartners.
